The Wednesday Simmer - Kids Savor The Entire Pie Of Life

It's pretty amazing how your kids can influence the way you live.  After all, who knew these little beings could be such great teachers.  These days, with my kids leading the charge, I try to take it all in, live honestly and feel every delicious emotion without hesitation.  Just as they do every day.  The beauty of children is that they don't hold back.  They love with their whole heart, they cry with heavy tears and they laugh with a full belly.  Basically, they savor the entire pie of life.  Thanks to my kids, I can honestly say that I too have learned to indulge in every last morsel of pie.  I'm no longer just taking a slice here and there.  I'm eating every last crumb good or bad.

Who knew way back when that having children would change who I am and how I live my life.  Never have I been more creative, more compassionate, more loving, more grateful, more aware, more nurturing, more frustrated, and more vulnerable.  Every day I am surprised, amused, inspired, humbled and exhausted.  My children have brought out the best and the worst in me.  They have seen me in my light and in my darkness.  They have witnessed my winnings and loses.  And through it all, I have been my whole self.  I have eaten the whole pie.

My kids are an inspiration and that's why I am grateful for what they have brought to my life.  Sure, it can be a struggle sometimes and completely exhausting, but because of them, I am able to be a complete version of myself.  I get the chance to see the world from a new angle.  I have an opportunity to savor this delicious pie of life with a whole heart, heavy tears and a full belly every single day.

Welcome to the Noodles On The Wall Blog, a place where I share the trials and tribulations of a creative noodle maker. (That's me!) My life is full of noodles and I've learned it takes a dash of inspiration and a pinch of creativity to throw them up on the wall to see if they stick. Hope you stick around!
