Our Stick Of The Week! is Catherine Storing. Catherine is in NOW as Owner and Chief Style Coach at Catherine Storing, helping women dress with confidence so that they can own their womanhood and be the true goddesses that they are.
I want to share my incredible ability to uncover the true self, to get past all the clutter, and get to the real woman.

Tell us about your NOW (Noodle On the Wall)
I started my Style/Image Coaching Business, Catherine Storing, a little over a year ago. It was like answering a call. I have been helping women dress better and find clothes that highlight who they are, since I was 18 years old. I am now 36 years old. For a few months more anyway.
I love to shop and to pair great finds with great women. I get to combine my love for fashion, style, and shopping with my passion for empowering women.

Is your NOW simmering, al dente or fully cooked and why?
I am in the simmering stage, about to start to boil. I have been nurturing this baby of mine and making sure not to rush myself or the process. I want to share the best version of myself with my clients. I see my business growing a lot this year. I can see it moving to the next stage smoothly and fabulously.
What recipes can you give other Creative Moms Taking On The Creative?
Don't be afraid to share the true and whole version of you. Many times we think we have to present a diluted, watered down version of ourselves in order to fit in or be accepted. I tell as many people as I can to be themselves and their creativity will be accepted and embraced by the right people. When we try to please everyone, we pay a greater price. We lose ourselves and no acceptance or love is worth that much.
What motivated you to throw your noodle?
I finally understood it was my responsibility to share my journey with women. To help them emerge from the dark, to embrace who they are, and to celebrate it. My experiences have uniquely prepared me to empower women, because I used to be just like them - shy and withdrawn. I am passionate about what I do because I see the potential and how great women can look and feel. I also know how much they can accomplish with the right style coaching.

What inspires you as a Mom and as a creative person?
My eight year old daughter, Abby, is so confident and has a great sense of fashion and style. She loves to dress up and knows what looks good on her. I can only imagine how she would be if I had not dealt with my issues or had not come to terms with the way I look. Abby loves that I help women, and even has come to one of my closet rehabs where she shared great insight with my client! Already, Abby has expressed interest in taking over the family business when she grows up. That motivates me to grow my business and to help as many women as I can. My daughter is watching. I am her example.

How do you juggle Mamahood and your NOW?
I'm balancing, for sure. I tried to work on my business before my daughter went to bed, but that did not work out. There were projects to be done, dinner to be made, bath time and reading. I could not concentrate on my business or give my daughter my full attention. Now I help Abby with her homework, feed her, help get her ready for bed and we even have time to read. She reads her school books and I do my devotional reading next to her. After she goes to bed around 7:45, I get everything ready for the next day and then work on my business. I get to give my full attention to my two priorities. It works out for everyone.

What is your ultimate pasta dish?
Mother/Daughter Date Night. Every Friday or Saturday night my daughter and I have a date. We watch a movie, go shopping, or eat out. Sometimes we do all three. I am teaching her what a date is; spending quality time with someone you care about, where you take turns doing something you both like. We laugh and play. It is our own love fest. I look forward to date night every week.
