The Stick Of The Week! is Renee Dimitrovski. Renee is in the NOW as Editor in Chief of COCOLILY Magazine {celebration + inspiration}, a boutique online magazine for mom + hostess with a whimsically modern twist.

Renee Dimitrovski
"I’m just a regular mom that is learning as I go...I make mistakes but have no regrets. I try to be a good friend to everyone that crosses my path and I believe in helping as much as I possibly can with no motto of ‘scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.' I’ll genuinely help someone if they need it and expect nothing in return, but again, I don’t allow myself to be taken advantage of. I adore my son to the moon, around the stars and back again. I’ve learned a lot in the past few years and I thank God every day for everything."
Renee loves her red wine, Frank Sinatra, dark chocolate, a good laugh with a friend, being a child with her son, Seinfeld (still watches it religiously) and the classic era when women wore dresses and men wore suits.
Tell us about your NOW (Noodle On the Wall)
Where to start? The main one would be COCOLILY Magazine, a unique boutique digital publication for mom + hostess and will bring truly curated product and content.
Is your NOW simmering, al dente or fully cooked and why?
I’d have to say fully simmering as the wheels are turning. My team and I are just running around trying to create something unique and finding unique content doesn’t come easy. A lot of hard work from editorials to style shoots, but we’re hoping it will be well worth it and everyone will love COCOLILY!
What recipes can you give other Creative Moms Taking On The Creative?
Moms Night Out for sure! Moms need time away from the home and family life – even if it is only once a month, but it’s a must for allowing yourself to be YOU. In addition, it always makes it much more interesting when you have dinner with another mompreneur and bounce ideas back and forth about business and marketing while still talking about your kids and sipping a glass of wine! I should take my own advice, but I tend to feel guilty when I’m leaving my little man for those 2 hours once every 2 months. You also need to be organized, focused, determined and work hard to achieve your passion.

What motivated you to throw your noodle?
Good question. Life I’d have to say and the ups and downs I’ve been through personally for the past 3-4 years. I’ve been also inspired by other moms and women battling a disease or just dealing with being a single mom in addition to wanting to bring the truth about foods, chemicals and not being motivated by the large budgets from the name brand companies, but rather those that are actually making a difference in today’s world on a small budget. I’ve been inspired by other women’s stories and hope to share that with the readers as well. I want to produce content for moms + women that is real and raw and not the typical ‘how to apply makeup’ or ‘how to put your child to sleep’ – I think we all need to hear real stories, see real emotions whether good or bad, but I wanted to also bring fun and whimsy to the publication. I’m hoping the publication and everything I do in the future will bring inspiration to other women...we all need to stick together, work together and ensure that we have a healthy planet + healthy kids.
What inspires you as a Mom and as a creative person?
Every day life which includes my amazing son – he continues to teach me every day what life is all about and he truly is my little hero. I’m also inspired by my family, friends and the women that I’m surrounded by – everyone has a story, battle or joy and that brings inspiration to me and everything I do.

How do you juggle Mamahood and your NOW?
Weekdays my little man is in day care as that is the only way I can get anything done in terms of actual work (a work week for me is 50-60 hours). Weekends I dedicate my time to him and just do fun things, trying to live in the moment. I’ve tried to get on the computer to answer a few emails but that doesn’t happen at all as my son just hops on my lap and doesn’t want me to do any work. So I stopped after attempting to do this two times. I heard other mompreneurs do it so I thought I’d give it a try – didn’t work for me :) But in a way, I am grateful to my son for teaching me what is really important in life and that is spending time with your loved ones. These little munchkins will grow up too fast and before we know it, we’ll be following them to the bathroom when they pee (like they do to us now lol). Life is precious and it’s short. There is a time and place for work and when the weekend comes, it’s all about my son.
What is your ultimate pasta dish?
Literally speaking, I make a delish pasta sauce from scratch (tomatoes, onions, oregano, dash of grated carrots and red peppers, splash of turmeric + flax seeds) puree it all up with pasta made from spelt flour (yes I am very committed to teach my son to eat healthy but do on occasion get the hamburger – all in moderation not deprivation).
In terms of work, I would have to say bring COCOLILY to a national level and produce a women’s event that will bring forth again the message of inspiration + celebration.
