Tell us about your NOW (Noodle On the Wall).
I started an online business called Sweet Melody Designs, to create sweet nursery art that can be completely customized to match any nursery color scheme.

Is your NOW simmering, al dente or fully cooked and why?
My business is more al dente at the moment. I have a lot of customizable art to share, but my must-have ingredient is more exposure. I don't think a lot of moms out there know I'm available to help them create their little one's world yet.
What recipes can you give other Creative Moms Taking On The Creative?
The best advice I can give is to just go for it with all of your heart and energy because you never know what idea or passion you have that might turn into something more.
What motivated you to throw your noodle?
I've always loved to draw. After having two children of my own and designing their nurseries, I found that the more things I began to draw, the more skilled I became in creating the whimsical look I was going for. So with the full support and encouragement of my husband, I jumped in and started trying to sell my art online. I have been blown away by how much my art has been loved. God has truly blessed me.

What inspires you as a Mom and as a creative person?
My biggest inspiration comes from thinking from the perspective of a mom. I think about what a dream nursery would look like to me, using different themes, and sketch out those dreams. My children also inspire me, because I also think about if they would love the art as well as the parents. Which is important because that art is in their little world.

How do you juggle Mamahood and your NOW?
Nothing that I do would be possible without the help of my amazing husband, who stepped down from his job, even when my business was barely staying afloat, because he believed so much in its potential and in me. He also remodeled our basement so I have a great office space to work in our home. And the best part about my job is that my hours are very flexible. I can see my kids whenever I want because they are right upstairs, and we always eat every meal together. I can even take random days off just for the fun of it, if we decide to go on a family hike in the woods.

What is your ultimate pasta dish?
The best pasta dish in the world is the vegetable stew my husband makes with whole wheat pasta. I'm so lucky to have such an amazing cook, whatever it is he puts in the pot turns to magic, haha.
