The Noodle Stir

Last week was a trying time for my family and I as Hurricane Sandy swept in and took away most of the things we take for granted every day.  Water, electricity, heat and our regular routines as a family and as entrepreneurs.  I couldn't believe how much I truly rely on my routines and to do lists in order to keep me and my family moving forward. Well, all of it went down just like the sixty foot tree that fell an inch away from the front of my house.

Although we still don't have any power, we managed to get away to my in-laws home in Massachusetts before the gas crisis.  There we were welcomed with all the missing pieces that make our life more comfortable.  Frustrated over this crazy tree and the hiccup in our life, I sat down and watched the news.  It was then that I witnessed the havoc that Hurricane Sandy had caused in other areas like my beloved Jersey Shore,  a place where I practically grew up.  The interruption of our routines and a few fallen trees didn't compare to the devastation people had suffered because of this hurricane.  I felt truly blessed and truly ashamed at the discomfort I had felt over my own urgency of having no internet.

What was most saddening was that I realized sometimes, it takes a hurricane to cause people to stop, stand still and look at one another through the beautiful glow of candlelight.  It takes a hurricane to realize what your priorities are.  It takes a hurricane to snuggle up close and thank your lucky stars.  It takes a hurricane to believe that your time is NOW.

For me, I was reminded of my purpose.  To show the world the true epic force behind AND beyond motherhood.  We are not only mothers and wives, but also inventors, designers, teachers, bloggers and so much more. We make the world better, at times a little bit easier and a whole lot prettier for us, our loved ones and especially our kids.
I am here to share your message, your story, your talent, your idea and your product to the world.

The Noodle Stir will be a new post filled with inspiring elements that I come across to help Moms get inspired and move forward with their noodles.

Don't let another hurricane come before you throw that noodle.

Do it NOW because YOU are changing the world one creation at a time.

Welcome to the Noodles On The Wall Blog, a place where I share the trials and tribulations of a creative noodle maker. (That's me!) My life is full of noodles and I've learned it takes a dash of inspiration and a pinch of creativity to throw them up on the wall to see if they stick. Hope you stick around!
