Jill Rossiter is a Mom to three children, Kate (6), Ella (almost 5) and Niall (almost 14 months).  They live in Nyack, NY in a cute little house she likes to refer to as, “my kid's dollhouse that my husband and I just sleep in.”  When Taking On The Creative, Jill Rossiter believes the "magic ingredient" is choices.  "I leave blanks in our creative recipes, so that my kids can add their own spices.  This lends to creating unique masterpieces and gives my kids a sense of ownership."

So when Jill's girls, Kate and Ella, decided to have a lemonade stand over the summer, Jill made sure that choices were on the table.  They discussed what the lemonade stand would offer, when they would have it and what they could do with the proceeds. With a little research from Mom, the girls decided to donate all the proceeds to Ride to Give, a local non-profit organization raising money for children in need.  The girls not only created awareness in the community, but also helped a certain child in need.
"My girls learned an invaluable lesson and worked even harder to sell yummy cups of lemonade for this cause…all while having tons of fun!"
It was such a success, that Kate and Ella decided to continue their mission to raise money for Ride to Give this Fall, with a warm apple cider Stand 4 A Cause.

"We plan to do a winter hot chocolate Stand 4 A Cause in the next few months too!"

For Jill and her family, creativity plays a huge part in their home because Jill makes sure she provides her children a "safe place to endlessly explore within their reach."

Jill Rositter is always there to guide, support and give them choices.  "There is no right or wrong way to be creative." Says Jill.  "Being creative definitely brings excitement to each day and creativity allows us to learn from each other."

So bring the excitement to your day and Take On The Creative with your kids.  You never know what you'll learn and what will inspire you.

Welcome to the Noodles On The Wall Blog, a place where I share the trials and tribulations of a creative noodle maker. (That's me!) My life is full of noodles and I've learned it takes a dash of inspiration and a pinch of creativity to throw them up on the wall to see if they stick. Hope you stick around!
