As the summer winds down, we like to have movie night under the stars. Watching a movie outside is pretty amazing for everyone included, but what happens even before the movie begins, makes it even more magical. My kids usually fall asleep when the movie begins, but I guess for them, that's not the exciting part. That's because prior to the outdoor screen time, we Take On The Creative. Here are some great ways to Take On The Creative with your kids with a Backyard Movie Night.

BACKYARD MOVIE NIGHT
It's important to set up the projector and the screen for the movie, but most importantly, make sure the lighting and the cushion count is plentiful.

MOVIE NIGHT NECKLACES
Have the kids string a necklace with some of their favorite snacks for the movie. When the movie begins, the snacks are handy and stylish! My kids LOVE this!

CRAFTY MOVIE NIGHT
Before the movie begins, have the kids prepare their treats by painting marshmallows and popcorn with milk and food coloring.

DRIVE IN MOVIE NIGHT
To make the experience even better, collect some cardboard boxes before movie night. Have your kids create their own cars for an old fashioned drive in.
