Tell us about your NOW (Noodle On the Wall)
I just finished my first book called, Rockstars of Wellness: Super Simple Ways to Stand Out, Get Hired and Become Irresistibly Relevant Your Tribe. It's a little book designed to inspire holistic wellness practitioners how to structure their biz in total alignment with who they are and what they're here to do. It was a little bit like having a baby..... Especially with the corresponding makeover of my website and all marketing materials that are about to relaunch too!

Is your NOW simmering, al dente or fully cooked and why?
It's al dente! As I'm writing this, I'm putting the finishing touches on my "get the book" purchase page and about to serve it up to my peeps! Gulp. :)

What recipes can you give other Creative Moms Taking On The Creative?
I think the most important thing I could share with other creative moms is to make sure you set strong boundaries around when you're working on your creative projects and when you're not. This means when you're with your kids, you're with them. You're not trying to check email or multi-task work. And when you're at work, you're working.
I tried it the other way around and it was incredibly stressful and made me feel like I wasn't being a good mom or being good to my biz either. So far, this is working really well for me. I work about 15 hours per week and run a high six figure business. I never thought that would be possible until having a baby made me want to reorient how I spend my time. It's all about boundaries baby!

What motivated you to throw your noodle?
I wanted an affordable, easy way to share the answers to the most often asked questions about the behind the scenes of a successful lifestyle biz. This little book takes care of that!
What inspires you as a Mom and as a creative person?
It used to be about making something of myself and making a difference in my colleagues lives. I used to be a wellness pro myself before I turned into a marketing nerd. I can't stand the idea of other wellness pros repeating the same mistakes I made in the first three years of my business. Now that I'm a mom (with a second one along the way!) that's still true for me. What gives me courage to keep going and keep growing my business, is being able to have a meaningful career with plenty of time to raise my own kids. So, whenever I'm nervous about serving up my next noodle, I just think about how miserable I would be working for someone else and how little time I'd have to be with my family. It helps me get over myself pretty quickly.

How do you juggle Mamahood and your NOW?
I just don't try to do it all. I have a part-time babysitter who is here Monday thru Friday 9:30 - 1:30, and that's when I work with clients and on all my creative projects. Outside of that time, I'm with my family. I hired a cleaning lady (I do a happy dance every time she's here). I also have someone run errands and get groceries for me each week. I don't see it as a luxury, but as an essential part of my team and my ability to consistently create and make a great living from my creativity. Creativity requires regular space for you to show up and do your thing. It's so important to honor it. Sure, there are other team members in my business like an assistant and web mistress, but I have to say, I think the household help is the key to juggling mamahood and keeping those creative juices alive.
What is your ultimate pasta dish?
My favorite dishes always have the simplest and highest quality ingredients. I never get tired of that kind of beauty and authenticity. That's how I envision my growing biz. Keeping it simple. Taking my book and the forthcoming membership club and serving up high quality, simplified solutions on wellness marketing. Also, making the work-for-yourself lifestyle work for you.
