Halloween is just around the corner.  So why not get your kids into the spooky spirit with some fun reads that will surely add some giggles into the mix.  Here are some great finds for 4 to 8 year olds that we recently added to our collection. So go to your local library and get your spook on!

Room On The Broom is a classic picture book about a witch, who's actually very kind and giving.  As she rides on her broom, she stumbles upon new friends and one very scary dragon who prefers to eat witches with french fries.  Of course he does.

Beautifully written by author, Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.  The illustrations will make your kids laugh out loud.  In fact, this is one of those books you'll read more than once before bed.

My son came home from school last week with the picture book, Leonardo The Terrible Monster. Written by one of my all time favorite children's book authors, Mo Willems, it is a must have in your bedtime routine.

Leonardo is a monster who can't seem to scare the "Tuna Salad" out of anyone.  When he finds the perfect candidate to scare though, he has to make a very BIG decision.  This book may not spook, but it will certainly make you want to meet Leonardo.

Our last picture book called, I Need My Monster will leave your kids wanting their very own monster under their beds.

Author, Amanda Noll tells the story of a little boy named Ethan who has a very big problem.  Gabe, the monster who lives under Ethan's bed, has gone on vacation and none of the other monsters replacing him are doing the trick. With whimsical and colorful illustrations by Howard McWilliam, this picture book is sure to entertain and help you get your spook on!

Welcome to the Noodles On The Wall Blog, a place where I share the trials and tribulations of a creative noodle maker. (That's me!) My life is full of noodles and I've learned it takes a dash of inspiration and a pinch of creativity to throw them up on the wall to see if they stick. Hope you stick around!
