Rhonda Fleischer, a fellow Nyack Mom and dear friend, is Taking On The Creative and making a difference in the lives of young girls.  Her new program, Princess Warriors, helps young girls discover their power through creativity, connection and ceremony.  I feel passionate about Princess Warriors  because I only wish I had had the opportunity to take part in such an amazing experience as a young girl.  So if you're in Nyack or at least near by, read on for more info on the program and how to sign your daughter up for Princess Warriors!

In the comfort and joy of a circle of friends, girls aged 6 to 8 embark on a 10-week passage and find connection to their own power, other girls, their elders and the world around them.  Each weekly gathering builds and circles back to these themes, using arts and crafts, girl-friendly sharing, movement, social action, ritual and fun.  Along the way, in circle and at home, girls earn ribbons to mark their accomplishments.  These ribbons are then woven into a crown, which is given to each girl during a community celebration that marks their final passage into Princess Warriorhood.

Ten Week Passage Topics

1. Discovering Me
2. Sisterhood and Friendship
3. Mothers and Grandmothers
4. Discovering our Power through Movement
5. Gifts of Nature
6. Helping the World Community Project*
7. Strong Voices: Letting the Light Inside Shine
8. Keepers of Magic
9. Standing Up for Myself: Strength with Kindness
10. Rite of Passage Ceremony to Princess Warrior*

*Maternal and/or familial participation requested

Welcome to the Noodles On The Wall Blog, a place where I share the trials and tribulations of a creative noodle maker. (That's me!) My life is full of noodles and I've learned it takes a dash of inspiration and a pinch of creativity to throw them up on the wall to see if they stick. Hope you stick around!
