A few years ago, I had no idea what blogging was or why anyone would do it.  It seemed personal, tedious and a lot of work when you're trying to manage and grow a company.  But after I joined the masses and decided to give Blogging a real shot, I realized Blogging is important for your business.

HERE'S WHY

• When done right and updated regularly, a Blog can become one of the most consistent marketing tools for your business.  With a loyal readership, you always have a platform for celebrations and upcoming product launches.

• Search engines really love blogs.  Blogs provide fresh content for internet searchers and since most blogs should be updated at least once per week,  it keeps those search engines coming back and your company on the top of the list.

• An updated blog with great information and the right keywords, can drive free traffic to your site.  Also, providing a link to your website from your blog will give you double exposure.  Who doesn't want that?

• You can start a blog for free or at a very low cost.  For a small business owner, that means everything when money is tight.  An updated blog with great content can easily become your company's best source of free advertising.

• A blog can connect you to your target audience immediately and create opportunities and relationships with ideal clients.

Ok.  So from a business stand point, that makes a lot of sense.  But how do you get people to tune in week after week and have good content?

HERE'S HOW

• Don't hold yourself back when writing.  Be authentic and honest about your material and your readers will connect to what you have to say.

• Keep in contact with your readers through newsletters and remind them how great it is to read your blog.

• Try to guest blog on other blogs and gain a new audience.

• Use social media to put your blog posts out there.

• Trust your instincts as to what will work for you and your company.
So if you've thought about joining the Blogging masses, I say DO IT!  You never know.  You might  actually enjoy it and your business will benefit too:)

Welcome to the Noodles On The Wall Blog, a place where I share the trials and tribulations of a creative noodle maker. (That's me!) My life is full of noodles and I've learned it takes a dash of inspiration and a pinch of creativity to throw them up on the wall to see if they stick. Hope you stick around!
