I don't know about you, but lately I've been feeling completely overwhelmed by the amount of art work my kids bring home from school and art class. That's not including the projects we do from home! Yeesh! Don't get me wrong, nothing warms my heart more than my kids sharing their creativity with me, but the stacks and piles sitting in every nook and cranny is honestly getting to be too much. So, I came up with a solution.......here goes.
First, I had my children choose their super duper favorite pieces.
The rest we either filed away in bins for memories, or threw away together. Oddly enough, I had a harder time with the throw out pile than they did. My son actually said, "It's ok Mom, I can make more." He's a good kid. Then, the kids chose which favorites to frame......
Which ones to dangle in their room.......
And which ones we could get creative with......that's actually a mirror with their art work on it!
In the end, it was a great experience for all of us. We felt a little lighter, a little prouder and
even a little more creative.
even a little more creative.
